Chunk Limits
What Are Chunk Limits?
To ensure a smooth and lag-free experience for all players, our server enforces chunk-based limits on certain entities and blocks. These limits help maintain server performance and fairness in gameplay. Below you'll find a breakdown of what these limits are and how they differ for players with the Custom donator rank.
Chunk limits define the maximum number of specific items or blocks that can be placed within a single chunk (a 16x16 area in Minecraft). These restrictions apply regardless of who placed the items and are enforced automatically by the server.
Limit Breakdown
| Category | Default Limit | Custom Rank Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Tiles (e.g. chests, furnaces, barrels) | 250 | 350 |
| Hoppers | 25 | 40 |
| Redstone-related blocks (repeaters, comparators, etc.) | 50 | 100 |
| Item Frames | 100 | 150 |
| Armor Stands | 10 | 15 |
| Spawners | 6 | 6 (unchanged) |
The Custom rank provides increased limits for most categories, but spawner limits remain the same for all players to ensure gameplay balance.
Why Do These Limits Exist?
- Performance: To reduce lag and ensure a smooth experience for everyone.
- Fairness: Prevents one player from using excessive resources in a small area.
- Server Health: Helps us maintain long-term server stability and uptime.
Want Higher Limits?
Consider supporting the server by purchasing the Custom rank, which grants higher limits on most chunk-restricted blocks and entities. It’s a great way to support server development while enjoying extra building freedom!
